If we add affiliate links
Some links may later become affiliate links. That means if you buy through one, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
US rules say a money link between a publisher and a seller that readers would not expect must be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. 1 The FTC also says the disclosure should be placed close to the link itself. 2
So each affiliate link will carry a short plain note right next to it, such as "We earn a commission if you buy through this link." This page will list every partner by name.
What money will not change
Calculator results, city costs and rankings come only from the cited sources on each page. No company can pay to change a number, a ranking, or what we say about a visa, hospital or insurer.
We will not mark anything as recommended because it pays us, and we will say so when a partner is the only option we checked.
