Short version
This site itself collects nothing about you (our web host keeps standard request logs; see below). It has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. Every page, photo, video and script is served from this site itself.
The calculator
The calculator and the US-city comparison run entirely in your browser. What you type (income, savings, age and so on) is never sent anywhere and is not saved: the page does not use cookies or browser storage, so reloading clears it. The only files the page loads are its own price and exchange-rate data (costs.json, us-costs.json and rates.json) from this site. The currency converter uses a rate saved on this site; it does not call any outside rate service.
Forms
The newsletter box and the contact form are placeholders. They are switched off, have no email tool or service behind them, and cannot send anything.
Web host and its logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Every visit passes through Cloudflare's network, and Cloudflare may keep standard request logs. Its privacy policy says it processes visitors' IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information and other information about traffic to the websites it serves, and keeps personal information only as long as its business and legal needs require. 1 Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that data: Cloudflare Privacy Policy 1
We have not turned on any Cloudflare analytics, cookies or tracking for this site, and we do not get personal data about you from Cloudflare.
Links to other sites
We link to many official and other sources. When you follow a link you leave this site, and that site's own privacy policy applies. There are no affiliate links today; if we add any, we will update this page and the affiliate disclosure first.
Children
This site is written for adults planning retirement and is not aimed at children.
Changes
If what the site does changes, we will update this page and its date. Last updated: 27 October 2026.
